My Mom and Grandma are gone now and I am losing my love for my country.To prove my love for my country I first donned the uniform of the Canadian army as a cadet, age 12. At 15 I joined the militia, 17- I joined the regular force and at age 18 l landed in Europe for the first of two tours. Â…..1957 with 2nd Bat. of the Canadian Guards, (this tour ended in 1959)... arriving back in Canada I left the guards joined the Artillery and in 1960 landed in Europe for my second tour with 3RCHA. During my second tour I was lucky enough to score a gig with the armed forces radio station in West Germany. I mention all this as these were the proudest days of my life because I was serving with the finest men I had ever met in my life before or since. These were men of Pride, Honor. Integrity and Courage and each and every man was willing to die for his country.
